A Zebra On The Move

"It is estimated that in one year alone Britain imported groundnut protein from India to the equivalent of a years ration for 13 000 000 children - and all to feed tormented factory farm animals, which never so much as see daylight until they are carted off, in fear, to be slaughtered. By feeding this valuable food to a vast animal population a loss in protein value in excess of 80% is incurred in the end product. This same food, either in its original form or by simple processing for direct animal consumption entails a loss of only 10-15%. Without this mania for consuming the corpses of countless millions of our gentle vegetarian 'younger brothers' there would be enough food for all of us - and a great deal of disease would be eliminated."
